Fishers Island School seeks an exemplary and highly collaborative School Social Worker for grades PreK-12.  The social worker must possess or be immediately eligible for New York teaching certification and/or licensure.  The successful candidate will work one day per week and be willing to work flexible hours to meet the needs of our students and families.

Fishers Island School is an intimate PreK-12 school of 70 students. The school is located on a small island off the southeastern coast of Connecticut.  Although it is a New York island, Fishers Island is only accessible by ferry or commuter boats in the New London/Groton region.

The ideal candidate holds his/her students and self to high standards and demonstrates a strong commitment to the academic success and social/emotional well-being of each and every student.  A strong counseling background and experience working in partnership with teachers and families are essential position requirements.
