Hello Fishers Island Community:
I hope that this finds you well. Due to the forecasted weather, Fishers Island School will have a Snow Day on Wednesday, February 11th. Tomorrow will be our second official Snow Day, and students will not participate in Remote Learning. We will make up this school day on Friday, May 22nd. All future weather cancellations will be Remote Learning for the remainder of the school year.
I expect minimal accumulation overnight and believe a delayed opening would be a more appropriate solution. However, tomorrow's ferry fuel charter schedule does not have an 11:30 a.m./12:45 p.m. boat, which we would need to utilize.
We are making this call early because it is difficult to rearrange your typical family schedule, and I apologize for any inconvenience this decision may cause.
